Make a serious commitment to getting and staying in shape during the Wiesbaden Sports, Fitness and Outdoor Recreation Center's Boot Camp Jan. 28 to March 22, 2019. Workout sessions will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Boot Camp training includes dynamic stretching and running, interval training including lifting weights/objects and yoga stretching. Many other exercises using weights, and/or body weight, similar to Functional Fitness routines, are used to lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, strength and establish a routine of regular exercise. Participants will weigh in before the start of the program and again at the end of the eight-week program. Also featured will be two nutritional seminars provided by the professional fitness trainers.
Training sessions are extremely strenuous and involve training that will be held in an inside/outside open environment for 75 minutes. On Jan. 25, all participants will meet with a Boot Camp trainer to do their fitness assessments -- tape, BMI, height and weight, and fill out their Par-Q. Fitness assessment times are 8-10 a.m., noon to 2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
