4X4X48 Ready and Resilient Challenge

With all the crazy challenges out there, here's one that will not only challenge you physically, but mentally -- the 4x4x48 Ready and Resilient Challenge. 

Run/Walk/Ruck four miles, every four hours in 48 hours. Its that simple. Four miles done 12 times = 48 miles or 77 kilometers. 

You can do this challenge anywhere, even from home. Find a favorite path/trail, map out the distance down and back to four miles and repeat it 12x. 

Here are some key points to remember:

  • Set up a schedule, ie; 0400, 0800, 1200, 1600, 2000, 2400, 0400, etc.
  • You have to eat and sleep when possible. Keep busy, but be mindful of not overdoing it, and understand the hardest part of this challenge is your mental resiliency. In fact, you will involve all five pillars of Strength and Wellness: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social and Family. 
  • Start training today. If you need ideas on how to do that, feel free to reach out to the fitness professionals at the Wiesbaden Sports and Fitness Center or the Army Wellness Center. 

An invitation will be posted on Facebook, and you can post your final pic when you have completed the challenge, standing, crawling or lying down.

Certificates of participation from USAREUR-AF will be provided for all those who complete the challenge.
