The Holiday Assistance Program assists military and civilian families, primarily the families of specialists and below, with actual needs during the holiday season. This includes a food voucher or gift certificates for Thanksgiving and Christmas for qualified families. Families qualifying for the Thanksgiving Holiday Assistance Program will automatically be included in the Christmas distribution.

Civilian employees with living quarters allowance are not eligible

Eligible employees include:

  • WG 1 through 5
  • GS 1 Step 10 or below
  • GS 2 Step 5 or below
  • GS 3 Step 3 or below
  • NF 1 or 2 with annual salary of $29K or less
  • NA, NL or NS with an hourly salary or $13 or less

Priority will be given to Soldiers with families of four or more members.

Leaders will assess eligible families, nominate those with an actual need who are willing to participate and will be available to take receipt of items during times allotted, and ensure that this is accomplished in a personal and confidential manner.

Completed applications (available through chain of command and at ACS) signed by the commander or designated authority must reach the U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden, Army Community Service, Building 7790, Hainerberg Housing by 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 for Thanksgiving and Dec. 14 for Christmas.
