This is a course that stems from hundreds of years of tradition. The German Hunting Course requires self-motivation and flexibility. It is not easy and requires dedication, but it is a lot of fun and very rewarding. Successful course completion will give you the right to purchase your German Hunting License, as many long guns as you wish as well as two handguns, and be knighted at a Jägerschlag. Waidmannsheil.

Take this course to get your German hunting license and become eligible to hunt, acquire and possess firearms in Germany. Practice your shooting skills and meet other hunters to exchange ideas and tips.

  • Classes run from Aug. 1 to Oct. 28, 2017
  • Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m.
  • Shooting and practical range exercises are on Friday afternoons from 2 - 6 p.m. until daylight savings time ends, then from 2 - 5 p.m.
  • Final exam is a mandatory requirement to be held Oct. 28

Shooters are required to wear eye protection, hearing protection and a shooting vest during the course.

Ammunition, range fees and transportation are not included in the cost.

Cost

$250 per person -- must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid ID card.

Cost includes course registration and one year of membership in Wiesbaden's Hunting, Fishing and Sport Shooting Program. Not included are ammunition, transportation costs and range fees.
