U.S. Forces German Hunting Course

This is a course that stems from hundreds of years of tradition. The German Hunting Course requires self-motivation and flexibility. It is not easy and requires dedication; however, it is a lot of fun and very rewarding.

Successful course completion gives you the right to purchase a German Hunting License, as many long guns as you wish, two handguns and to be knighted during a traditional Jaegerschlag ceremony. Waidmannsheil.

Upcoming class sessions are:

  • Jan. 28 to April 18, 2020 (mandatory final exam on April 18, 2020)

Participants will be required to wear eye and hearing protection, and a shooting vest during the course.

Classroom instruction is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. Shooting and practical range exercises are on Friday afternoons.


$250 per person (includes registration fee and membership in the Wiesbaden Hunting, Fishing and Sport Shooting Program. Not included in the price are ammunition, transportation costs and range fees.)
