The Amelia Earhart Playhouse holds auditions for "Horse Girls" on Aug. 26 and 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This production is an official entry into the U.S. Army IMCOM-E Entertainment One-Act Play Festival. To find out more about the festival, click here.

Note: Auditions on Aug. 27 will be held simultaneously with "Duck Hunter Shoots Angel" auditions. If you'd like to audition for both shows, please feel free to do so.

Synopsis

Twelve-year-old Ashleigh rules the Lady Jean Ladies, South Florida’s most exclusive horse club. News that her family’s stables are being sold and their horses killed for meat throws the Ladies into crisis in this dark comedy of middle school deception and lies. "Horse Girls" is a play about pre-teens: their obsessions, their insecurities and their desperate need to find a place in the world.

To sign up for an audition slot, please use the link below. Auditions will consist of reading from the script. Audition sides will be emailed out to participants in advance and will also be available at auditions. No memorization required.

Note: "Horse Girls" contains some mature content. For more information, please view the permission slip below. Parents or guardians of auditionees under 18 years of age will be required to sign this form for their child to participate. Even though this show is about middle schoolers, adults are welcome and encouraged to audition.
