Children transferring to the Installation whose parents have requested care prior to arrival are placed on the Projected Demand Sub-waiting List. This list is maintained by sponsor priority for care and date of request for care. Parents must update their information every 90 days to remain on the list.

There are various opportunities for participation at all levels of Child and Youth Services, from infants to teens. Engaging in this initiative not only supports ongoing improvements to Wiesbaden’s CYS programs but also allows parents to advocate for their children and youth. This forum will focus on exploring the best ways to involve parents in our programs and highlighting how their participation can enhance the offerings of Wiesbaden CYS.
- The Board coordinates the Parent Participation Program with the Child Development Program (CDP) staff to ensure parents are involved in CDP planning and evaluation.
- The Parent Advisory Board meets quarterly from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Parent Central Services Conference Room in BLDG #1213 on Clay Kaserne.
Parent Participation

Supporting Every Child's Unique Needs
- CYS is committed to providing inclusive care for children and youth with special needs by offering reasonable accommodation and tailored support to help them thrive.
How We Support Special Needs Children
- Medical Action Plans. CYS helps Families create a Medical Action Plan (MAP) for children with allergies, asthma, diabetes, seizures, or other medical conditions requiring special care.
- Multi-disciplinary Inclusion Action Team (MIAT) The MIAT explores Installation childcare and youth supervision options for children and youth with medical diagnoses that reflect life-threatening conditions, functional limitations and diagnosed behavioral/psychological conditions. The MIAT recommends childcare and youth placement. It also determines reasonable accommodation and availability of services to support a child/youth’s special needs. We welcome and support all children, with the goal of facilitating and maximizing participation in CYS Services childcare, youth supervision and educational programs.
- The MIAT is comprised of the Parent(s), CYS Services Coordinator, Outreach Services Director, APHN, and EFMP Program Manager as chairs.
- Reasonable Accommodations. We provide modifications to activities, facilities, and care plans to ensure safe participation in CYS programs.
