The Wiesbaden Library has a host of fun and educational activities during the summer months as part of its Summer Reading Program June 23 through Aug. 4, 2024. It will feature a mix of live and virtual programs.
- On June 23 community members are invited to join environmental engineer Dr. Grimm for a tour of the Mechtildshausen Domaine organic farm (adjacent to Clay Kaserne). Come learn about the crops, animals and the environment of this working farm. You'll see goats, donkeys, cows and more. Afterwards you are invited to linger at the Domaine's charming on-site cafe. (Bring Euros for any purchases.)
- Sunday sessions June 23 to Aug. 4 (no session on July 7) include two one-hour sessions featuring stories, crafts, activities and giveaways at the Library. This Sunday event is aimed at allowing participants to attend church AND take part in the Summer Reading Program. Sessions are at 10 a.m. and at 3 p.m.
Programs include:
- Family program, birth to age 5, VIRTUAL
- Children, ages 6-12, every Sunday at the library from 10-11 am, and again -- the same day from 3-4 p.m. June 23 to Aug. 4.
- ***There will be no Children's programs scheduled for Sunday, July 7.
- Children's -- DOUBLE your fun! Ages 6-12 -- VIRTUAL
- Teens, 13-17 VIRTUAL
- Adults, 17+, VIRTUAL
- Loaded with incentives for reading along with loads of educational activities.
