Register Now!Audiences are invited to enjoy this classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical at the Wiesbaden Amelia Earhart Playhouse. When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by Germany as World War II nears, with demands that the captain report to service in their navy -- forcing the family to flee over the mountains to Switzerland.
Shows are scheduled for Nov. 30; Dec. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15; Jan. 4, 5 and 6.
Cost
$14 for adults, $12 for seniors and students ages 12 and older, $10 for children. Please note: Children under age 5 are only permitted at matinee performances (no children under age 3).
