The Wiesbaden Amelia Earhart Playhouse holds auditions for the female version of "The Odd Couple" on March 27 and 28. Needed is a cast of six women and two men. Material for reading will be available at the audition. Scripts are available for check out in advance of the audition.
Interested players are asked to wear clothes that allow them to move freely. They should also have a short song prepared and sheet music for an accompanist.
"The Odd Couple" female version is a 1980s re-take of the original Neil Simon comedy. In this version, the main characters are Olive, a divorced television producer, and Florence, a recently separated homemaker. They've got their friends to help them ... as long as they don't kill each other first.
Performances are scheduled to be held at the Amelia Earhart Playhouse on May 18-19, June 1-3 and 8-10. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. on Sundays.
