The Holiday Assistance Program assists military and civilian families, primarily the families of specialists and below, during the holiday season. This includes food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas -- and gifts through the Angel Tree Program.
Leaders will assess eligible families, nominate those with an actual need who are willing to participate and will be available to take receipt of items during times allotted, and ensure that this is accomplished in a personal and confidential manner.
Applications are available through the chain of command, or ACS. See below for a link to the application form.
Here's a copy of the nomination form that can be downloaded, completed, signed by unit first sergeant or commander, and submitted to Army Community Service.
