Known as the city of wine, Sekt (sparkling wine) and roses, Eltville has been called the "Pearl of the Rheingau." It is set among vineyards, woods and at the start of the picturesque Rhein River Valley.
The name Eltville dates back to its Roman roots -- "alta villa," meaning an elevated settlement in Latin.
