Auditions: Shrek the Musical Jr.

The Amelia Earhart Playhouse invites you to audition for the fantastical family show, "Shrek the Musical Jr" on May 14 or 15 from 6-9 p.m. 

Synopsis

Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Audition Notice (Ages 7-17)

Please use the provided link to sign up for an audition slot. Please prepare and memorize 30–45 seconds of a musical theater song and provide a link to the karaoke track on the sign-up sheet. Auditionees will cold read from the script and must attend the dance call closest to their audition slot. Callbacks will be May 16 from 6–9 p.m. Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled to begin July 29 from 6–8 p.m.

Tentative Performance Dates: Sept. 20-21, 27-28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m.
