The Amelia Earhart Playhouse holds auditions for the "The Little Mermaid Jr." on May 30 and 31 starting at 6:30 p.m.
Audition Notice (Ages 7-18): Auditioners must have a song prepared to sing a cappella or with accompaniment. A read-through will be held at the theater on June 1. Rehearsals begin on July 17.
Performance Dates: Sept. 8-9, 15-16 at 7:30 p.m.; Sept. 10 and 17 at 2 p.m.
Synopsis: In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her home -- and her fins -- behind to live in the world above. But first she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome prince, Prince Eric, that she's the right girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.
