The Wiesbaden Amelia Earhart Playhouse holds auditions for "Dear Anne, From Nina," on Nov. 16 and 17. The play, directed by Madeline McGill, is the Playhouse's entry for next year's Tournament of Plays.
"Dear Anne, From Nina" is based on the true story of Nina, a young girl from a small town in Iowa, who struck up a pen pal relationship with Anne Frank in February 1940. The play is a coming-of-age reflection set during the early years of World War II.
Needed are cast to fill the following roles:
- Nina Jensen (age range 11-16)
- Jeannie, Nina's sister (age 14-20)
- Alice, their mother (adult)
- Charlie, a friend of the family (age 16-22)
- Anne Frank (age 11-13)
- Margot, Anne's sister (age 14-16)
- Otto, Anne's father (adult)
Performances will be held Feb. 4-13, 2022.
